Jobs in ISI

ISI regularly recruits bright and competent researchers for its various academic divisions. Researchers with a Ph.D. degree, a few years of research experience, a strong commitment for independent and collaborative research and genuine interest for teaching, are encouraged to apply for the post of a lecturer. More experienced persons can apply for the posts of Associate Professor and Professor. Although advertisements for this purpose are brought out from time to time, one can apply any time

At present a ISI scientist is expected to teach about one course per semester. A typical class consists of a small group of sincere and inquisitive students. Many teachers admit that their research is often stimulated by questions asked by the students. The Institute houses the best library in Statistics and allied areas in India. The computing facilities are regularly upgraded to keep pace with new technological developments.
