Big data is an emerging research field that have recently drawn much attention and interest from computer science and information technology as well as from social sciences and other disciplines. The goal of this workshop is to provide an forum for exchanging ideas and information on current research studies, challenges, system developments, and practical experiences in this emerging field. The workshop includes topics related to distributed machine learning in big data, big data and high dimensional data analysis, map reduce frame work and hadoop system, and future of big data research. The lectures will be of tutorial level.
