Teaching: Worked as a visiting lecturer in two academic sessions (1973-1974 and 1977-1978) in the Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers, B.E. College, Howrah and in the Dept. of Applied Physics (83-84) Calcutta Univ. Member, board of Examiners in the Applied Physics and Radio Physics Dept. of Calcutta University. Referee of the journal of Institution of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineers and Journal of Computer Society of India.
- Research Supervision: Two students obtained Ph.D. and one has submitted his Ph.D. thesis. Research Publication: About 70 scientific papers in Indian and International journals and 30 conference papers in the field of computer science and remote sensing data analysis using image processing methods.
- Book Publication: Co-author of the book on Digital Computers' Memory Technology published by Wiley Eastern Ltd., 1980.
- Others: Obtained Sir J. C. Bose Memorial award for contributing best technical paper in 1969.
- Membership of Society: (i) Fellow National Academy of Science, Allahabad(ii) Fellow of Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers, India.(iii) Indian Unit for Pattern recognition and Intelligence.(iv) Computer Society of India.
- External Project Assignment: Completed several projects of national importance sponsored by DST, DoE, ISRO and other funding agencies.
