The
Objective:
Some of the important concepts of pattern recognition are being redefined
with the advancement of computational intelligence techniques. The pattern
recognition community is active in integrating this advancement and in
converting it to suitable tools tailor made for challenging applications. To
recognize these achievements and to provide a platform for researchers to
deliberate and exchange ideas on advances in pattern recognition, the
Electronics and Communication Sciences Unit of the Indian Statistical Institute
will be organizing the 5th ICAPR.
Format:
A number of oral paper presentation sessions in areas of, but not limited
to approximate reasoning, artificial intelligence, atmospheric modeling,
bioinformatics, computer vision, digital signal processing, evolutionary
computing, fractals and chaos, fuzzy systems, neuro-computing, hybrid
computational intelligence systems, image processing, mathematical morphology
will be organized under four major conference tracks:
(i)
Computational Intelligence
(ii) Image and Signal Processing
(iii) Pattern Recognition
(iv) Remote Sensing and Atmospheric Science
All
accepted papers would be published in the conference proceedings, which will be
made available during the conference.
Special Issues: We plan to bring out a few special issues of some international journals based on enhanced versions of some of the selected papers.
