Accommodation Details

November being the peak season in Kolkata, we request the delegates of the ICFHR 2010 to book their accommodation at the earliest. We have blocked a limited number of rooms of specific categories in three hotels for a limited period only and obtained a negotiated price for each of them. Among these three, Fortune Park Panchwati (Hotel of the WELCOMGROUP Group) at Kona Expressway, Howrah is the venue of ICFHR 2010 and the entire range of available rooms at this Hotel have been blocked for possible booking by the delegates of ICFHR 2010. We STRONGLY recommend booking of your accommodation at Fortune Park Panchwati as soon as possible.

The above hotel (venue of ICFHR 2010) is situated within the campus of Lakeland Country Club, Kona Expressway, Howrah, which also offers accommodation facilities. A few apartments of the same have been blocked for the delegates of ICFHR 2010. This place is only 5 minutes walk from the venue.

Finally, a few rooms have also been blocked at Taj Bengal Hotel, Alipore, Kolkata for the delegates of ICFHR 2010. The blocking of the rooms at each of these three places will be honored till 31st August, 2010. So, we request the participants to book their accommodation before the deadline expires. However, rooms can be booked after the above deadline subject to availability at the existing prices.

1. Fortune Park Panchwati Hotel

All of the available 60 rooms at Fortune Park Panchwati Hotel have been blocked for the period 15th – 18th November, 2010 till 31st August, 2010. The negotiated prices for different categories of rooms at this hotel are as follows.

The above prices include the following:

  1. Accommodation per paid night
  2. One service of breakfast per paid night
  3. Complimentary use of swimming pool per paid night
  4. Complimentary usage of wi-fi inside the room for 02 hours per paid night.
    Additional usage of wi-fi is chargeable.
    However, unlimited usage of wi-fi in the hotel lobby is free of cost.

    • Mode of payment: Participants can swipe their room tariff before check-in by credit card & settle the extras on check-out.

    CANCELLATION / REFUND POLICY

  • In case of cancellation, more than 60 days before the commencement of ICFHR 2010, no retention charge will be levied.
  • In case of a cancellation between 60 days and 30 days before the commencement of ICFHR 2010, the hotel reserves the right to charge 25% of the total estimated billing as retention.
  • In case of a cancellation between 30 days and 21 days before the commencement of ICFHR 2010, the hotel reserves the right to charge 50% of the total estimated billing as retention.
  • In case of a cancellation less than 21 days before the commencement of ICFHR 2010, the hotel reserves the right to charge 100% of the expected bill as retention

    2. LakeLand Country Club

    Forty rooms of suite type have been blocked at the Apartment Block of LakeLand Country Club for the period 15th – 19th November, 2010 till 31st August, 2010. Negotiated price of this accommodation is INR 2100 + TAX (10.30%) per night per room. A room can be shared by a maximum of three people and no additional cost will be charged if a room is shared by 2 or 3 people. Breakfast of each guest is included with the above price. This place is at 5 minutes walking distance from the venue.

    BOOKING:

    Participants should directly book their accommodation by sending email to n_arshi786@yahoo.co.in or over the telephone (+91 9163325726, +91 33 2653 8889, 8890) with reference to the ICFHR 2010. The delegates will be confirmed of their accommodation and Room No. by email. The Lake Land Country Club will collect all payments from residential participants during booking/check-in. Such payments can be made by VISA / MASTER card, Indian or foreign currencies.

    Breakfast, TT, Carom, Boating, Health Club are complementary for the guests. Swimming & Billiard will be chargeable and the existing rates of charges for swimming and billiard are INR 100 and INR 50 per frame respectively.

    CANCELLATION / REFUND POLICY

    Cancellation fees are as follows:

  • 15 days before the proposed date of arrival – NIL
  • Between 8-15 days of the proposed date of arrival – 25%
  • Between 1-7 days of the proposed date of arrival – 50% of the booking amount

    3. Taj Bengal

    The Taj Bengal is located on Belvedere Road, Alipore, Kolkata, and is approximately 18 Kms from the Airport, 10 Kms (approx.) from the Conference Venue and just 2 kms from the city center. Located in the city's greenest precinct, it is within walking distance of a number of city tourist spots. Rooms at Taj Bengal are comfortable and spacious, complete with modern amenities.

    BOOKING:

    Sixty rooms of deluxe type have been blocked at the Taj Bengal Hotel for the period 15th – 19th November, 2010 till 31st August, 2010. Negotiated price of this accommodation is INR 9000 (for single occupancy) and INR 10000 (for double occupancy) per night per room. These prices are exclusive of the Govt. TAX whose current rate is 10%. Buffet breakfast is included with the price.

    NOTE: The deadline for honoring the negotiated price will be 31st August, 2010. Beyond this deadline bookings will be made on availability and on the best available price.
