Travel Grant for Resident INDIAN Students and Researchers
Student Travel Grant:
About 10-15 student travel grants will be available. The travel grant includes a waiver of registration fees for both conference and tutorial, train fare by shortest route in III-tier sleeper class (non-AC), hostel-type accommodation and some support for local hospitality. Student authors will be given priority.

Faculty Travel Grant:
About 10-15 travel grants will be available for researchers from academia. A travel grant will be either a waiver of 50% registration fee for the conference (depending on the merit of the case, it may be a full waiver, but the chance of a full waiver is low) or support for train fare by the shortest route in III tier sleeper class (non-AC), moderate accommodation with some support for local hospitality. Authors will be given priority. Considering the merits of the applications, the organizing committee will make the decision about the travel grants and the decision of the organizing committee will be final.
Applications for the above Travel Grant are invited from resident Indians to attend ICONIP 2004 (conference and/or tutorial) at Calcutta. The last date for receiving applications is Aug 23, 2004. Applicants who are selected for the Travel Grant will be informed by Aug 26, 2004.
Information on the following items should accompany the application: Name, Age, Sex, Qualification, Designation, Affiliation, Publications List if any, Travel Plan, Grant Applied for, Recommendation from the Head of the Institute. The application should be sent to:
