Institutional Repositories
An Institutional Repository is a database with a set of services to capture, store, index, preserve and redistribute scholarly research outputs of an institution/university in digital formats. The benefits of the proposed IR are:
- Providing a better visibility to ISI research outputs, in all fields related to statistics, mathematic, economics, computer science and information science etc.
- Increasing impact: more scholars and scientists will have free and rapid access to ISI research outputs, thus increasing its citation impact
- Promoting research output of the Institute by aggregating its publications in a structured and interoperable database (compliant with the OAI-PMH)
- Preserving digital materials for the long term
- Providing open access to research outputs
- Housing digitized collection
Scope:
The Institutional Repository of the Indian Statistical Institute will cover scholarly outputs of the Indian Statistical Institute and it will be cumulative and perpetual IN NATURE
Coverage:
The Institutional Repository (ies) may preserve the following types of items/outputs of the ISI:
- Journal Articles published in peer reviewed journals
- Articles published in Seminars/Conferences/Workshops
- Articles/Chapters published in books
- Phd Theses
- M.Tech Dissertations
- Lecture Notes/Courseware
- Convocation Addresses
- Question Bank (if permissible)
- Storing learning materials and courseware
