We invite you to help us build the Indian Statistical Institute Library collection! Every year, the Indian Statistical Institute Library adds 500 volumes to its collection, which will support the learning and research of our students, faculty, researchers and other members of the Library. Your involvement in document selection process will help us immensely. We request you all to visit our Acquisition Unit at the 3rd floor and examine the documents on Display and make necessary recommendations. Thank you for contributing to the future of your Library!

How to Make a Gift of Materials
Thank you for thinking of the Indian Statistical Institute Library. Gifts strengthen the Library's holdings, provide additional copies of high-circulating material, and replace lost and damaged items crucial to a research.

While we appreciate and encourage the donation of materials, we must limit our acceptance to materials that support the teaching and research programs of the Institute and which do not unnecessarily duplicate materials at hand. Space and staff time are precious.

Materials Accepted
High quality books, both hardback and paperback, of scholarly, artistic or scientific merit, sound recordings, videos, CD-ROMs, and archival material pertinent to our collections.

Materials generally not accepted
Generally, we do not accept outdated textbooks, popular magazines, scholarly journals that duplicate our holdings, paperbacks, and materials in poor condition.

How to donate
Donations may be dropped off at the Library, Monday through Friday during regular working hours. To make other arrangements, please contact the Deputy Librarian (circulation and Stack Maintenance Unit)

We may review a gift prior to acceptance, and may offer the donor other options should the gift not meet our needs. Lists or inventories of the material may assist this process.
