The International Conference on Pattern Recognition and Machine Intelligence (PReMI`05) will be held at Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata, INDIA during December 18-22, 2005.
The primary goal of the conference is to
present state-of-the-art scientific results,
encourage academic and industrial interaction, and
promote collaborative research and developmental activities,
in Pattern Recognition, Machine Intelligence and related fields, involving scientists, engineers, professionals, researchers and students from India and abroad. The conference will be held every two years to make it an ideal platform for people to share their views and experiences in the said areas.
The scope of the conference includes all areas of Pattern Recognition, Machine Intelligence and related technologies. Sample areas are, but not limited to the following.
Electronic version of full paper (four to six A4 pages including figures and tables) complete with authors' affiliation, or a hard copy, should be submitted:

Submitted papers must not have been previously published, accepted, or currently submitted for publication elsewhere.
Camera ready versions of accepted papers must not exceed six pages in LNCS format.
There will be four special sessions spread out over December 20-22, 2005
The conference proceedings will be published by Springer Verlag in the prestigious Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) series, and will be made available during the conference. All accepted papers, whose author(s) register, will be included in the conference proceedings.

The conference will be held in the Indian Statistical Institute Campus, which is in the northern fringes of Kolkata. It is close to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose international airport, and two important railway termini of eastern India.
