The aim of the workshop is to expose the participants to recent developments in selected topics from the following areas:
Combinatorics and Graph Theory, Design of Experiments, Coding Theory, Cryptology, Algorithms and Applications.

Duration:                    15 to 19 December 2002.

Venue:                       Indian Statistical Institute, 203 B. T. Road, Kolkata 700 108.

Participants:               Young researchers and lecturers with some exposure to the
                                  topics to be covered. The participants will also have a chance
                                  to attend the Symposium to be held from 20 to 23 December 2002.

TA/DA:                     Limited travel funds are available. Local hospitality will be
                                 provided to all participants in the residential campus of
                                 the Institute.

Registration fee:         Rs. 1,000/-.

Last date for receipt
of application*:          31 July 2002. Those who are selected will be informed by
                                 31 October 2002.
