My research interest

My main research interests are in mathematical biology and in population dynamics in particular. One central aim is to understand when a biological system can be modeled at a deterministic population-based level, and when more individual-based stochastic approaches are required. My research uses mathematical and stochastical models, applying methods from dynamical systems and stochastic processes together with computer simulations. One of my current research works involves parameter sensitivity analysis using statistical tools like Latin hypercube sampling.

Most of the above work is on the ecological and epidemiological problems. But recently, I have also tried to make mathematical model on the human hormone secretion. I have communicated one paper on CRH-ACTH-Cortisol hormone secretion. Another potential field which, I believe, needs more attention from the scientific community is regarding the social problems. In this regard I have made non-linear model on problem of terrorism, which I have already presented in two conferences/ seminars.

Current work involves: Modeling on ecological problems like migration of bird population, spider in vineyard; Nonlinear models of plankton dynamics; Chaos dynamics; Parameter sensitivity analysis; Nonlinear model on hormone secretion; and Nonlinear models on social problems like terrorism.
