Workshop on Social Network Analysis (SNAW'12)

Center for Soft Computing Research, Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata is going to organize a workshop on SOCIAL NETWORK ANALYSIS (SNAW'12) during JUNE 27 -28, 2012 at INDIAN STATISTICAL INSTITUTE, KOLKATA. The workshop is aimed to to provide a platform for extensive discussions on the potential issues of social networks and their applications across the communities.

Please note that :

• Registration Fee includes working lunch only.

• Limited shared accommodation (on first come first serve basis) and food may be available against requisite charges (as per norms of the Institute). The charges are as follows:

• The Center along with the Machine Intelligence Unit of ISI, Kolkata and the National Research University, Higher School of Economics, Moscow, Russia jointly organized the 4th International Conference on Pattern Recognition and Machine Intelligence (PReMI'07) during June 25-July 03, 2011 at ISI, Kolkata.

• The Center along with Institute of Technical Education and Research (ITER), Siksha 'O' Anusandhan (SOA) University, Bhubaneswar, Orissa organized a workshop on soft Computing and applications (WSCA'11) during January 13 -15, 2011 at ITER, SOA University, Khandagiri Square, Bhubaneswar-751030, Orissa.

• The Center organized a Workshop on Video Analysis and Surveillance (WVAS'10) during July 6-10, 2010.

• The Center organized a Short-Term Training Programme on Knowledge Discovery in Data Bases: Data, Information & Knowledge (DInK'10) during January 11-15, 2010 under the scheme "National Training Programme for Scientists/Technologist in Govt. Sector" of the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Govt. of India, New Delhi. To download pictures click here.

• The Center and Electronics and Communications Sciences Unit, ISI jointly organized a Workshop on Digital Image Processing and Synthesis during December 14, 2009 to January 22, 2010 under the scheme "GeoICT-IDH Hampi- Capacity Building and Training Programme" of the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Govt. of India, New Delhi.

• The Center organized a Short-Term Training Programme on Soft Computing (SofCom'09) during July 27-31, 2009 under the scheme "National Training Programme for Scientists/Technologist in Govt. • The Center organized a Workshop on Data mining and Data Warehousing (DmDw'08) during September 15-20, 2008 under the scheme "National Training Programme for Scientists/Technologist in Govt. • The Center and the Machine Intelligence Unit of ISI, Kolkata jointly organized the Second International Conference on Pattern Recognition and Machine Intelligence (PReMI'07) during December 18-22, 2007 at ISI, Kolkata (www.isical.ac.in/~premi07). Proceedings was published by Springer under its LNCS series.

• A National Workshop on Support Vector Machines was organized during November 9-11, 2006. The researchers and young faculty members from different institutes, universities, and research laboratories, attended this workshop. (Detailed report is available in www.isical.ac.in/~scc/NWSVM_report.pdf).

• The Center has organized a Winter School on Soft Computing Tools: Simulation and Applications during January 10-14, 2006. The participants were researchers and young faculty members from academic institutes and research laboratories, and research personnel from industries. • The Center and the Machine Intelligence Unit of ISI, Kolkata have jointly organized the First International Conference on Pattern Recognition and Machine Intelligence (PReMI'05) during December 18-22, 2005 at ISI, Kolkata (www.isical.ac.in/~premi05). Proceedings was published by Springer under its LNCS series (Volume 3776 / 2005, ISBN: 3-540-30506-8).
