Born on January 19, 1982 in Berhampore, West Bengal, India.

Started schooling in Berhampore, Murshidabad, India.

Passed Madhyamik (10 level) Examination in 1997 from Maharani Kasiswari Girls' High School, Berhampore, Higher Secondary Examination (West Bengal) in 1999 from Girls College, Berhampore, B.Tech in ComputerScience and Engineering from Kalyani Govt. Engg. College in 2003, M.Tech (CS) from ISI, Kolkata in 2005, and currently doing Ph.D from Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata from August, 2005.

Hobbies are watching cinema, traveling and reading story books (specially bengali novels). I like to read Suchitra Bhattachariya's writings very much. I am reading regularly "Desh", bengali magazine.

Also interested in watching cricket.
