Quantum Isometry Groups

Abstract

We will discuss Quantum Isometry Groups as introduced by Goswami. It is a quantum analogue of the concept of the group of isometries on a Riemannian manifold. Here the manifold is replaced by a (possibly) non commutative manifold given by a spectral triple and the group is replaced by a compact quantum group. We will also mention some examples where the quantum isometry group has been computed.
