| Abstract |
| We provide a partial survey of major results about the normal Hilbert polynomials of ideals. We discuss theorems of Huneke, Itoh, Huckaba, Marley and Rees regarding normal Hilbert coefficients. We also discuss recent works on Vasconcelos' positivity conjecture about the first normal Hilbert coefficient. Results of Morales and Villarreal linking normal Hilbert polynomial with Ehrhart polynomials of polytopes will also be presented. |
