Research Interests :
Supratik Pal is primarily a Physicist working on Cosmology and Astroparticle Physics. Broadly, he is interested in anything related to evolution history of the universe. His work deals with theoretical aspects such as proposing new models and techniques, as well as observational issues via data analysis. He received his PhD from Jadavpur University (work done at Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur); had subsequent Postdoctoral experiences at Inter-University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics (IUCAA), Pune and at Physikalisches Institut der Universitaet Bonn, Germany. He is a recipient of the prestigious Alexander von Humboldt Fellowship of Germany twice (Universitaet Bonn and Max-Planck-Institut fuer Astrophysik, Garching); the Platinum Jubilee Fellowship from ISI Kolkata; and the Young Physicist Award from Indian Physical Society. He is a Member of the Executive Council and Science Sub-Committee of the Astrophysical mega-project Square Kilometer Array-India Consortium (SKA-India); and a Member of the Cosmic Microwave Background-India Consortium (CMBBharat). He is also an Honorary Faculty of Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandira, Belur.
