Final Results of M.S.(Q.E) Selection Tests held on 04 May 2008

  The following candidates are selected for admission to the First Year of the M.S.(QE) course 2008-2009, at Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata, subject to satisfying the eligibility criteria and being found medically fit by the Institute's Medical Officer.

Candidates who have appeared in the qualifying examinations but the results are not yet declared will be admitted provisionally and their provisional admission will be confirmed on receipt of evidence of their passing the qualifying examinations.

 Classes will start on Monday, 14 July 2008. The candidates are being  informed individually about the admission details.

ADMISSION DETAILS

If you belong to SC/ST/OBC/PH category, on production of proper supporting documents in original, you will be provided one-way sleeper/second class railway fare between your home station and Kolkata by the shortest route (on submitting Xerox copy of your railway ticket), to join the course.

 You are instructed to report to our Medical Welfare Unit located in our ISI Hostel campus (205, B. T. Road, Kolkata-700 108) on any working day during 9-11 July, 2008 between 10.30 a.m. - 1.00 p.m. or 3.30p.m. - 5.30 p.m. for obtaining your medical fitness certificate. Please bring with you clinical test reports of your Blood Sugar (P.P.) and Urine (routine examination) done very recently at reputed and standard clinical laboratory. Our Medical Officer will examine you and your reports, and will eventually issue Medical Fitness Certificate.

 After you obtain your Medical fitness certificate, you are instructed to report to Dean's Office (5^th Floor, Library Bldg., at 203, B. T. Road, Kolkata-700 108) on any working day during 9-11 July, 2008 between 10.30 a.m. - 1.30 p.m. or 2.30p.m. - 5.30 p.m. with your guardian for taking admission. The accommodation of the accompanying parent/guardian may be provided on payment basis in our Guest House, subject to availability. Please bring your mark-sheets and certificates (both original and attested copies) of all the examinations you have passed along with supporting documents of SC/ST/OBC/PH category (both original and attested copies) and 3 copies of recent passport size photographs. . If you have appeared for the qualifying examinations (B.Sc. or, equivalent) but the results are not yet declared, you will be admitted provisionally. The provisional admission thus taken will subsequently be confirmed only on receipt of evidence of your passing the qualifying examinations.

 At the time of admission, you will have to pay a Library Deposit of Rs.250.00. Limited Hostel accommodation is available in our campus and outstation students will be given preference. If you are provided with Hostel accommodation, you will have to pay a deposit of Rs. 605.00.

Your Classes will begin on Monday, 14 July, 2008.

On confirmation of your admission you will get a monthly stipend of Rs. 1200.00 plus an annual contingency grant of Rs.2000.00 as per rules. The stipend is given initially for one semester and is renewed every semester based on your performance. If you leave in the middle of the programme, you will be required to refund the entire amount received as stipend and contingency grant. The stipend for the period July – September, 2008 will be paid along with the stipend of October, 2008. You should, therefore, come prepared so as to meet your expenses during the above period.
