I completed my graduation and post-graduation (2016) on Microbiology from St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata. In 2015, I worked under the guidance Dr. Chatterjee as Research Intern for three months and currently working on a couple of funded projects on Social Cognition and Face Recognition Database. I am interested in working on Social Cognitive Psychology, Developmental disorders (like autism), memory, learning and behavioral neuroscience other than Microbiology, Immunology and Cell Sciences. I am a football fanatic, a singer, and guitar and photography enthusiast.
I completed M.sc in Psychology in 2013 with specialization in experimental psychology from University of Calcutta. In 2014-2015, I worked as a research co-ordinator on the project entitled as “Effect of web based information environment on human brain structure and cognition“under the supervision of Dr. Garga Chatterjee, Dr. Ryota Kanai, and Dr. Himadri Datta. I am keenly interested in doing further research work on cognition. I like listening to music, reading books, singing. I am a hard core animal lover.
I am a Doctoral Candidate in Dept. of Psychology, University of Calcutta. I did my M.Sc. in Psychology (Specialization in Developmental Psychology) from University of Calcutta. I qualified in Lectureship, National Eligibility Test (NET). My research interests include micro-aggression in Indian Society, especially in the context of Gender and Disability discrimination, Developmental Disability (Autism Spectrum Disorder & Intellectual Disability) & Physical Disability (Hearing Impairment), Cognitive Psychology. I have previously been the Head of Department, Dept. of Psychology, Salesian College, Siliguri and I am currently Assistant Professor, Dept. of Psychology, Scottish Church College, Kolkata and In-charge, Student Counselling Cell, Scottish Church College, Kolkata.
I am a Second Year Undergraduate Student at Ashoka University studying Psychology and Computer Science and a Dean’s List position holder for all semesters thus far (Fall, 2014; Spring, 2015; Fall, 2015) with a CGPA of 3.8 on a 4.0 scale. My primary interests lie in the Behavioural Genetics of Emotion, Cognitive Psychology and Psychometrics. My additional interests lie in Neurological Signal Analysis and Computational Sentiment Analysis. I am an avid Cinema buff and love reading Historical Fiction and Science Fiction.
