The 17th International Symposium on Algorithms and Computation (ISAAC 2006) will take place at Hotel Taj Bengal, Kolkata, India, December 18-20, 2006. ISAAC 2006 will be hosted by Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata in association with Indian Association for Research in Computing Science (IARCS) and Computer Science and Engineering Department, Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur The symposium is intended to provide a forum for researchers working in algorithms and the theory of computation. Papers presenting original research in the areas of design and analysis of algorithms, computational complexity, and theory of computation are sought.
The topics include but are not limited to:
Algorithms and data structures, approximation algorithms, combinatorial optimization, computational biology, computational complexity, computational geometry, computational linguistics, cryptography, experimental algorithm methodologies, graph drawing and graph algorithms, Internet algorithms, online algorithms, parallel and distributed algorithms, randomized algorithms, quantum computing.
The conference proceedings will be published by Springer in its Lecture
Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) series.
