The International Workshop on Combinatorial Image Analysis (IWCIA)
is intended to provide an international forum for researchers working in
2D and 3D image analysis.
Apart from combinatorial techniques, it covers geometric and topological
analysis of discrete objects, discrete tomography, automata, mathematical morphology, and
their applications to digital imaging in various disciplines of science and engineering.
The journey of IWCIA started in 1991, with its first meeting held in Paris (France).
After that, its successive meetings were held in Ube (Japan, 1992),
Washington DC (USA, 1994), Lyon (France, 1995), Hiroshima (Japan, 1997), Madras (India, 1999),
Caen (France, 2000), Philadelphia (USA, 2001), Palermo (Italy, 2003),
Auckland (New Zealand, 2004), Berlin (Germany, 2006),
Buffalo, NY (USA, 2008),
Playa del Carmen (Mexico, 2009),
Madrid (Spain, 2011),
Austin (Texas, 2012), and
Brno (Czech Republic, 2014).
IWCIA 2015 is going to be its seventeenth meet in the series.
It will take place at
Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata,
India
during November 24-27, 2015.
On 24-November-2015, there will be pre-workshop tutorial lectures,
and then the workshop sessions will be held over the following three days.
Eminent researchers across different related fields will be invited to deliver lectures
on the tutorial day and in the plenary sessions.
