Who can apply:
Applications are invited from research students working in Topology/Geometry. However, anyone interested may apply. The participants are expected to have done the foundation courses in Differential and Algebraic Topology.
We would like the participants to be familiar with the materials of the first six chapters from the book An Introduction to Differentiable manifolds and Riemannian Geometry by W. M. Boothby.
The workshop will introduce the basics of Lie Groupoids and Lie Algebroids from Part I of the book General Theory of Lie Groupoids and Lie Algebroids by K. Mackenzie. Some amount of familiarity with Symplectic and Contact manifolds may be useful. The second week will be completely devoted to more advanced and recenct work in Lie groupoids and Lie Algebroids.
Support:
A limited number of outstation participants will be provided with travel support and local hospitality.
