(b) 2004: Passed Higher Secondary Examination in Humanities and Social Sciences from West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education with First Division.

(c) 2007: Honours Graduate (BA) in English Literature from University of Calcutta, Kolkata with Second Class.

Work Experience

  • Presently working in Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata, Linguistic Resaerch Unit under Indian Languages  Corpora Initiative Project.
  • From April 2010, working as a Visiting Faculty at the New Alipore College Centre of IGNOU, Kolkata to teach English language and linguistics to undergraduate Honours and General students of the IGNOU Undergraduate Course of English.
  • Written an English Text Book for students of Bengali medium schools (Class III) following the method of Text Based Learning. The manuscript is accepted for publication by T. Media Publication, Kolkata.

Seminars and Workshops

  • In 2008, attended in The International Workshop on Cognitive Linguistics organized by the Linguistic Research Unit, Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata, West Bengal.
  • In 2009, acted in a Documentary Film on Onomatopoetic Words in Bengali, in the project of the Central Institute of Indian Languages, Mysore, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India.
  • In March 2010, participated a 10-day Workshop on Knowledge Text Translation and translated a text book of general linguistics. The workshop was organized and conducted by the National Translation Mission (NTM), Central Institute of Indian Languages (CIIL), Mysore, Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India, in collaboration with the Department of Comparative Literature, Jadavpur University, Kolkata.
  • In 2011, participated in the 5th National ILCI Workshop, held in Utkal University, Bhubaneswar.
  • Acted as an informant in generation of the “English-Bengali Cognate Lexical Database” and the “Bengali- English Mono-Morphemic and Derived Word Database” as parts of the project entitled “Language Processing in Bilingual Users of South Asian Languages” undertaken by Dr. Arpita Bose and Dr. Lori Buchanan of the Department of Psychology, University of Windsor, Canada; In collaboration with Dr. Niladri Sekhar Dash of Linguistic Research Unit, Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata, India.
