(c) 2007: Honours Graduate (BA) in English Literature from University of Calcutta, Kolkata with Second Class.

Work Experience

  • Presently working in Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata, Linguistic Resaerch Unit under the project Indian Language Corpora Initiative -2.
  • Also working as a Linguistic Resource Person in MTSI Project under Language Division of India, Kolkata.
  • Worked as a Bengali Lexicographer in Indradhanush Wordnet Project from 24.10.2010 to 28.02.2013.
  • Acted as a Field Linguist to conduct Language Attitude Survey at Giridih from 21st March to 24th March 2011, under supervision and guidance of Dr. Niladri Sekhar Dash, Assistant Professor, LRU, ISI, Kolkata.

Seminars and Conferences

  • In 2010 participated as an informant in the project entitled Language Processing in Bilingual Users of South Asian Languages undertaken by Dr. Arpita Bose anb Dr. Lori Buchanan of the Dept. Of Psychology, Faculty of Arts And Social Sciences, University of Windsor, Canada; in collaboration with Dr. Niladri Shekhar Dash of Linguistic Research Unit, ISI Kolkata.
  • In 2010 attended a Translation Workshop, organized by National Translation Mission (NTM), CIIL, Mysore in cooperation with Comparative Literature Department of Jadavpur University. 
  • In 2008, attended in The International Workshop on Cognitive Linguistics organized by the Linguistic Research Unit, Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata, West Bengal.
  • Acted in a documentary on Bengali Onomatopoetic Words - a project of the Central Institute of Indian Languages-Mysore, Ministry of HRD. Govt. of India.
