Work Experience

  • Currently working as, a Project Linked Person in the project entitled Bengali Pronunciation Dictionary at Linguistic Research Unit (LRU), Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata from 1st July 2015 to till date.
  • Working as an outsource Linguistic Resource Person in the Mother Tongue Survey of India Project of Government of India, organized by the Office of Registrar General of India, Language Division, Nizam Palace, Kolkata, from December, 2012 to till date.
  • Previously worked as a Project Linked Personnel (PLP) in the project entitledBengali pronunciation Dictionary in Digital and Printed Form” funded by Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata from 21st June, 2013 to 31st March 2015.
  • Worked for the project entitled Development of Text to Speech System in Indian Language in Advance Speech Processing Lab at Centre for Development of Advanced Computing, Kolkata, from March 15th, 2013 to June 20th, 2013.

Field Linguistic Surveys

  1. 2016: Participated as one of the Field Linguists in theLinguistic Field Survey and Language Data Collectionconducted from 6th March to 11th March, 2016 covering five villages in West Midnapore district under the supervision of Dr. Niladri Sekhar Dash (Linguistic Research Unit, ISI, Kolkata).
  2. 2010: Done a Linguistic Field survey on Oriya Language.

    Translated one chapter of the book entitled, An Introduction to Lexicography by R. A. Singh, from English to Bengali in 3-day “Translator’s Orientation Workshop”, organized by National Translation Mission (NTM), Central Institute of Indian Languages (CIIL), Mysore, during 23rd –25th September,2010.
