BACKGROUND

The Minnesota Multi-phasic Personality Inventory-2 (Restructured Form) is a broad- spectrum inventory, the result of a data-based and construct-oriented revision of the MMPI-2. The 338 items of this test includes a total of 51 scales: 9 Validity scales and 42 substantive scales. A major cause for restricting MMPI-2 was that the aggregate measures of the Clinical Scales are not psychometrically optimal. The goal behind this development was to build a comprehensive set of scales yielding an efficient and exhaustive assessment of salient and clinically relevant variables This broadband instrument is used in a variety of settings. The aim of this symposium is to provide a sphere to understand the various intricacies of this tool and also explore its uses as a tool for clinical research. This symposium has two features - Training and Presentation of Research papers.
