Young Statisticians' Meet : Data Science in action

A Two day event titled "Young Statistician's Meet : Data Science in action" at ISI is proposed. The event will take place in the first week of March 2021, focussing on data driven statistical problems. The potential speakers will be drawn from young statisticians of Indian origin currently working on emerging areas. The primary target audience is PhD and masters students in Statistics, creating a platform where they will be exposed to current data driven problems from the academia and the industries. This will also be potential platform for germinating collaborations between young scientists and students.

While the specifics of this proposals relate to the event planned for March 2021, it is expected that this will develop into an annual program with the same aim and scope, and will be held in the month of January every year.
