Welcome to the Cryptology Research Group (CRG) at Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata.
CRG carries out research in the areas of cryptography, security, and
privacy. The members of CRG study a wide variety of topics, ranging
from designing cryptographic protocols to the evaluation of their
effectiveness and usability in deployed systems.
Set up in 1998, the Cryptology Research Group brings together all people at the Indian Statistical Institute interested in the areas of Cryptology and Data Security and related theory and applications. |

Mission of CRG
- To be at the forefront of innovations in cryptology research.
- To cooperate with governmental agencies and industrial houses to jointly solve applied problems in Cryptology, Data Security and related fields.
