On a more serious note, I am currently a Research Scholar in the Economic Research Unit of Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata under the supervision of Prof. Abhirup Sarkar. Before joining ISI Kolkata, I did M.Sc. in Economics from University of Calcutta in 2007 and before that, B.Sc. in Economics from St. Xavier's College, Kolkata in 2005.
On a more personal note, I am a typical Calcuttan, born and brought up in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. I am a self proclaimed movie buff. I am especially fond of European cinema. I like reading books. Someday I might, I just might start my own food blog. I have been trained in classical dance, which I have almost forgotten after a long gap of over 10 years. I am now married for almost a year to Ayyappadas from Kerala.
