International Conference on Pattern Recognition and Machine Intelligence (PReMI)

Objective: The primary goal of the conference is to present state-of-the-art scientific results, encourage academic and industrial interaction, and to promote collaborative research activities in Pattern Recognition, Machine Intelligence and related fields, involving scientists, engineers, professionals, researchers and students across the globe. The conference was originated from the Machine Intelligence Unit (MIU), Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), Kolkata, India in 2005. This is being organized every alternate year. The successive editions were held in ISI, Kolkata, India (2007); IIT, Delhi, India (2009); Higher School of Economics (HSE), Moscow, Russia (2011); Machine Intelligence Unit (MIU), Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), Kolkata, India (2013);  Warsaw University of Technology, Warsaw, Poland (2015) and Machine Intelligence Unit (MIU), Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), Kolkata, India (2017);. The next conference (PReMI'19) will be held in Tezpur University (TU), Tezpur, India, in collaboration with Machine Intelligence Unit, Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), Kolkata, India & Department of EEE, Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IIT Guwahati), India, during  December 17-20, 2019; endorsed by IAPR. Proceedings will be published by Springer under its prestigious LNCS series.

Research topics covered (but not limited to) are: Pattern Recognition, Image Processing, Computer Vision, Data Mining & Knowledge Discovery, Bio-informatics & Computational Biology, Machine Learning, Soft Computing, Symbolic Data Analysis, Evolutionary Computing, Fuzzy Computing, Neural Computing, Rough Computing, Case Based Reasoning, Content Based Image Retrieval, Steganography & Digital Watermarking, Medical Imaging, Remote Sensing, Biometrics, Web Intelligence, Text Mining, Social Media Mining, Cognitive Science, Brain Modeling, Uncertainty Analysis, Common Sense Reasoning, Hardware for Pattern Recognition & Machine Learning.
