Flavor leptogenesis during reheating era

We have shown that the process of non-instantaneous reheating during the post-inflationary period can have a sizable impact on the charged lepton equilibration temperature in the early Universe. This suggests a relooking into the flavor effects of leptogenesis where the production and decay of right- handed neutrinos take place within this extended era of reheating. We observe that the decay of the lightest RHN in the set-up not only provides a platform to study flavor leptogenesis during reheating, but also a new paradigm of quasi- thermal leptogenesis emerges.
