Dr. Soumyanetra Munshi is an economist and Associate Professor at the Economic Research Unit (ERU) of the Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), Kolkata. She completed her Ph.D. in Economics from Rutgers University and has been teaching and conducting research at ISI since at least 2015. Her academic expertise spans Political Economy, Public Economics, Microeconomic Theory, Industrial Organization, and Game Theory. Soumyanetra's research contributions include numerous peer-reviewed articles that apply theoretical and game-theoretic frameworks to issues such as conflict, electoral politics, clientelism, and the economics of marriage and dowry.
