Privacy & Security in the Land of Advanced Hacking
Abstract
The cybersecurity landscape is rapidly evolving and the ecosystems are continuously innovating to advance security and privacy for devices of all types. What do we need our systems to provide so that we can support these demands? Who are our antagonists? Is secure software development process enough?
In this presentation, I will present:
- Privacy & security in connected devices.
- Why do we need secure hardware?
- Case study: Hacking a car, near or far by reverse engineering its hardware and software.
What can security researchers do in order to improve the situation? Join me to find out.
