Image Retrival

Image retrieval or, more specifically, Content-basedĀ image retrievalĀ (CBIR) is a computer vision based technique for searching image from a large collection of images (unorganized or structurally organized). In other words, this technique brings out images that are visually similar to a given query image from a target image database. Basic approach extracts visual information from the query image and compares with that of the database images and, finally, based on some closeness measure reports the most similar images of the database. Here some sample images (neither query image nor retrieved image) are shown.
