Texture Classification
Texture may be described as the characteristic visual and especially tactile quality of a surface formed by the combination or interrelation of parts or elements. Terracotta craftsmen have generated rich variety of textures to decorate the temples. Texture classification, here, refers to as assigning an unknown sample image into one of a set of predefined texture categories. We have identified 16 different texture classes. Two examples of each of the classes are shown.
