Sub-image/figure Spotting

An image may contain multiple occurrences of a sub-image or a figure. The image may be in its front-parallel version of the scene or a geometric (affine or perspective) transformed version of the scene. Spotting or searching out the sub-image in the search image is an interesting and challenging problem in computer vision applications. The sub-image or the query figure may be taken from other image and may appear in affine transformed form in the search image. Two examples of sub-image and the corresponding spotting results are shown here.
