About the Library
The library occupies five floors, about 56,000 sq. ft., of a ten-storied building in Kolkata. It has nine functional units including Reprography and Photography.
The Memorial Museum and Archive named after Prasanta Chandra Mahalanobis, founder of the Institute, is an integral part of the Library.
The ISI Library is committed to empowering research, learning, and innovation by providing seamless access to high-quality print and electronic information resources through enriched collections, modern technologies, and collaborative partnerships.
